Style QA checklist.

Run this before anything ships. It checks the grammar, not the taste: grid, spacing, hierarchy, iconography, colour and copy. Ticks are kept on this device.

Section 01

Grid

Every block sits in the 12-column field; nothing floats in a loose container.
Columns are ruled with hairlines, not separated by empty gaps.
No two consecutive blocks use the same column split.
Nothing is centred on the page except the pull quote's plate.
No card grid: no equal-width, equal-height boxes with shadows or radii.

Section 02

Spacing

All vertical space comes from the bay scale (--bay-1 to --bay-6).
No arbitrary pixel padding on a section.
Bays keep their rules on mobile; the field collapses to four columns, not to a stack of cards.

Section 03

Typography hierarchy

One display face (Archivo Black) at L1 only; body never uses it.
Exactly one h1 per page.
Body copy is held inside a measure of about 34rem.
Meta text is mono, uppercase, tracked, and never longer than a line.
Hierarchy mode shows L1–L5 in order down the page with no level skipped.

Iconography

Only house glyphs are used — no third-party icon set.
Glyphs are drawn from the three primitives: hairline, filled square, open square.
Every glyph is aria-hidden and paired with real text.
No glyph is used purely as decoration inside body copy.

Section 05

Colour and plates

Only semantic tokens; no hardcoded colour utilities in components.
Oxblood is spent sparingly: state, signal and one call to action per screen.
All photography is monochrome with grain.
Radii stay at zero everywhere.

Section 06

Copy and access

British English throughout.
No prohibited terms — no clinical labels applied to third parties, no hype vocabulary.
Every image has meaningful alternative text, or is marked decorative.
Motion respects reduced-motion; film captions can be switched on and off.
Focus is visible on every interactive element.
